Having an earphone problem

I've been using xperia neo v for about 3 months now. Haven't experianced any major problems. But yesterday when I connected my earphones(Which came with the device) my display read that the headphones are not supported. Can somebody help?

try to clear liveware manager app data. settings>apps>liveware tap on clear data

if not try to remove updates or reinstall the app. reboot.
