Has Sony fixed the miracast bug?

I wonder if Sony has fixed the bug that disconnects you from your wifi network when using miracast? Or is it still not working?

Sincerely Henrik

Xperia Z1 and Z ultra supports WiFi when using Miracast.

For me, the WiFi stays connected but pretty much useless when connected to Miracast receiver. Very dissappointing.

With WiFi & Miracast just metres away in direct line of sight, you definitely cannot play movies from a NAS or local network to your TV.

I will also have to try roll back the firmware on my 'Xperia certified' Netgear Push2TV because just today, it doesn't work at all for some unknown reason??!

I had the same issue on my Z1 and Push2TV. The latest 2.4.3 update doesn't work with the Z1. Netgear have sent the problem to developers. I downgraded to 2.2.1.6 and this fixed the connection problem. However the phone seems to be stuttering on Miracast playback of videos. Its not as bad for audio but is still there. I wonder if the phone is not coping and needs a firmware update.

Just received my Netgear PTV3000.

It connects with Z1 just fine but I have a black screen after connection (Z1 says it has connected and started mirroring). After restarting phone I have quite stable connection 3 meters away from the device. But... when I turn off the TV (and Netgear) and then turn TV on back again I have black screen again. Restarting TV/Netgear doesn't give any results. After restarting phone again mirroring works again. I can connect/disconnect as long as I don't turn netgear off. After turning it off and on again I need to restart the phone to have a working mirroring.

Z1 firmware: 14.1.G.1.534

PTV3000 firmware: 2.4.19

Netgear are working on fixing these issues with the Xperia Z1 and should be included in the next release of the software. Sony do not admit any Miracast issues affecting connectivity to the Push2TV.

I have the same issue with my Z1 and my LG TV 50LA620S. The connection seems to be OK but I only have a black screen, I can't get to know if it's a phone or a tv related issue...

I will try and reboot the phone and check if I ever get something displayed on the TV.

Just to add some more info:
Netgear PTV3000 + KDL-40HX850 fails. More over it also kills ARC connection to external speakers.
The same netgear works fine with KDL-23EX302 and with KDL-46CX520.

All with up to date firmware. Netgear updated too. With two latter TVs Z1 connects fine most of the time. Only 300-500ms lag is annoying.

Please Sony, you might as well remove the "WI-FI CERTIFIED" logo from your box if it cannot support multiple wifi connections. To be fair, I do not know if "certified" means that your device MUST connect to multiple wifi connections. Samsung and others can do it. Heck, your own devices such as Z Ultra can do it. If you need to recall your Zs... recall! It is utterly irresponsible to advertise Miracast and not have it work satisfactorily. On a positive note, your Z is the only device I have in which I do NOT have a problem with wifi+Bluetooth keyboard+Bluetooth mouse and Miracast+Bluetooth speakers.

Kindly FIX IT !!!

Rykel, agreed. Sony, you have ripped me off. My Nexus 4 can do it, so Sony can. It needs to work in the kitkat update.
