I recently got a Xperia Z1s. Its a great phone all around, however, I have had a lot of trouble with messaging. I understand the stock messaging app does not do group messaging, so, after some looking around on the phone I got the Google Hangouts app all setup to be my primary messanger. It does support group texting. Well, this seems to be very intermittent. I will be sending and receiving group texts just fine and then I will get a plethora of "MMS cannot download" errors. They offer to reload but when you try to get the text to do so, they never will. I even tried the 3rd party app Textra and would get the same problems. This seems to happen on or away from wifi.
Texting is a big deal these days so I cannot understand why this won't work smoothly. I'm looking for any suggestions. Is the Z1s going to ever update to Kit Kat and will that help resolve some of these issues???
