Gray space in file commander

After I reduced the size of .thumbdata files (by stopping and clearing the data of media manager service) in DCIM folder I got the gray space as shown in the screen shot attached which is equal to the original size of the index's  files

So my space's problem still exist and I end up with nothing

Please help

What do you see if you don't use an app to check this? 

settings > storage

I see the total size which is the black area + the gray one and this is what drive me crazy, I end up with nothing

That's rather odd, you could repair the phone with PCC

I already did it I called the support center and they advice me to do repair but no change

Repair the phone once more but remove the SD and SIM cards, do NOT install any app nor add your google account > report back.

I Just did what you had suggested but nothing has been changed and this the screen shot 

you can see a starting of 1.3  GB in use
