GPS, VPN & Play Store Issues on ICS!

• The GPS does not work with Google Location services! It cannot find the GPS Satellite, cannot load My Location, cannot run Compass Mode, Navigation, etc.
  

• The VPN connection cannot be managed through the Status Bar/Notification Panel while there is a notification with this message: "Connected to VPN. Tap to manage ...". But when you tap the item, the Notification Panel closes.
  

• The Play Store app doesn't work, it doesn't load then shows this message "Authentication is required. You need to sign into your Google Account" with any software settings and account configuration, even while you're signed into your Google Account both in Accounts and Sync and in all other Google services on your handset.
  

Does anyone have an instruction how to rectify them? Or they are ICS bugs on the Ray?!

Try repairing the phone software via PC Companion to see if that makes any difference.

When I try repairing the phone software using PC Companion below message is shown after preparing the computer and downloading the software:

Update preparation error

The online server is currently overloaded.

Please try again after a while.

I tried it over and over again, at several times a day, differrent days a week. But it seems it happens all the time, even at the times with dramatically low Internet traffic rate.

I did a Factory Data Reset, and also re-installed the phone software via Sony Update Service. Still doesn't work!

Would you please advise?

A re-install of the software via SUS will have the same outcome as a software repair via PCC. So in this case I suggest that you contact your local support team to have it examined at an repair center.
