Gps Problem continues

Hi to every Xperia P sufferer!

the Xperia P problem with the Gps locking is obvious and it continues day by day. Everything with my Xperia P went ok until I installed the famous JB android version (4.1.2). The mobile lost every gps tracker and locking feature, and any app works with the gps.

I have tried every solution you post in this support forum and it doesn't work. I installed a lot of gps trackers, booster, test application in order to fix... but no solution. And the worst thing is the fact that the Sony team doesn't do anything to solve or fix. Everytime they guide you to a solution that doesn't work.

I wonder if someone has got a soluition and if the sony support team is going to fix this problem or the have given us for lost.

The last time I buy another Sony

Regards

I'd like to add that this also affects me.

I use the GPS function mostly for SportsTracker but it can often take 5 - 10 minutes to actually lock the position.

I have installed GPS Test. I have tried clearing the AGPS cache and sometimes this does appear to help the device find a location faster. Oddly the GPS Test app shows that the phone appears to find the GPS satellites quite quickly but it still takes minutes to get a posiiton.

Maybe this lock time is a limitation of smarphone GPS solutions as my old Satio was the same - I haven't used any other smartphone.

Hi.There is only one solution for now. Buy external bluetooth GPS... to me it was only working solution... sorry don't waste time to wait for fix from Sony developers.

Said it before but says it again: avoid sony mobile phones, only real solution to the problem as the so called "support" doesn't care....xperia go has the same issues, as well as a lot of the other models. In the case of the go model sony actually admitted problems that "would be solved in a coming software upgrade" did it? No. Did sony acknowledge the problkem? No. Will it be solved? With 99.99% certainty, NO. They simly put don't care anymore....

So, learn from the mistake, move on and buy another brand....

That doesn't sound good. I've moved to Sony form Samsung becouse of many problems, and that happened again. So Is that possible that there is only one working phone on the planet.... iPhone?
