Hi,
I recently got an experia ray which i am very happy with. excellent phone for suprisingly little money,in smartphone world. The only problem i am having is the gps not being able to find a route in any of the sat nav apps.
I am mainly trying to use navigation from google, it finds where i am, but when i put a destination in, it just searches for gps, getting driving directions and stays at that?
Any help appreciated.
Liam
If it does come out of the searching page it says, No route found. Navigation to your destination is not available. This is with gps on, wifi and data enabled.
Go to (depending on software version):
GB:
Settings > Location & security > Use wireless networks
ICS:
Settings > Location services > Google's location services.
This will mean you're using either WiFi network or mobile data network to boost the GPS to get satellite connection.

GPS had been one of the strongest fearures of Xperia phones. I've seen it on Arc, i've seen it on my Ray too. I was so impressed. But since the ICS 4.0.4 update it sees i'm using a phone without any GPS! Now it can never locate y location. horrible experience. thanks to sony for killing one of the best features of a phone! can we expect a update with the bugs reoved soon?
doesn't help!
