google maps voice prompts over bluetooth on Z3V

I recently switched over from the Iphone 5 which when I put in a destination in Google Maps and hit start teh voice prompts would play thru bluetooth thru my car which I loved.

After getting the Xperia Z3V, I noticed that that feature will not work, it just gives me voice prompts thru the phone and not thru my cars speakers, which when driving on the freeway at high speeds is very hard to hear.

Am I missing a setting for this? I really didn't have to set anything up on my Iphone 5, it just did it. But I know on  Andorid you can customize a lot and not sure if I'm missing a setting or not. I checked everywhere with no luck.

I guess it depends on bluetooth set you have. I was surprised that my Z1 is playing voice from Maps through HF set in my car. In previous car it was playing it through Xperia speaker.

I'm glad I found this forum post.  I have the Sony Xperia Z3 and I dont get audio through the phone or the vehicle.  I have a 2015 Toyota Tacoma.  It works fine to answer calls, display text and emails (even with subject line! which my iPhone never did).  It sounds like it could just be a compatibility issue.  my iPhone 5s worked when I used the airplay feature to send all adia tto the truck via bluetooth and was able to listen to any audio source.  I havent tried using my car on Bluetooth audio whith navigation on which i'm going to try next, but then Im limited to my Audio options.  If anyone discovers something please let me know!  Thanks.
