Google maps stuck

Hi,

 when I access to maps (under wifi connection), and I want to enter a location, the phone gets blocked, I can't go on or back with the keyboard on the display.

Any tips

That's odd, perhaps an app its acting up, repair your phone

Also happening to me!

Seems like Google Maps version 7.0+ from Google Play is very advanced!

The factory stock version 6 still works better though...

I was like f*** when the keyboard reacts with super slow typing!!!

I checked the CPU usage and its super low (overall usage meter) during that period...

Tips:
As for now, use the stock version by Uninstall Updates in the Settings menu...

Also, disable auto update in Google Play...

Unless Sony Mobile really take care of us by releasing the updates, or else we will be going to f*** ourselves!!

Go to Setting -> Apps -> Google Map and Try clearing data. Worked for me couple of times.

Hi,

I have the similar problems with Google Maps and Google Navigation. 

The most recent version (October 14, 2013) Google Navigation freezes, gives me a black blank screen, and the phone becomes very slow.

Clearing the cache doesn't help. Reinstallation doesn't help.

Reverting updated: after reverting Maps updates, I get screen flicker on Navigation. It works somehow better but still far from being a reliable mapping/navigation application.

The problems upset me because mapping/navigation is a signification portion of the Android experience. It is as if the phone is only 80% good, 20% broken.

exactly the same problem.

I have also problems charging the phone. when turned on it charges only like 1 out of 10 times. I need to turn the phone off and back on, off and back on... and after several times it starts charging.

But I shows that he is charging but nothing is happening.

I tried differt pc's, different cables. All the same problem.

When the phone is turned off, then he will charge normally.

It's horrible to use maps now when I can't charge and maps blocking...

Anyone an idea how I can resolve this?

Hi, I'm suffering same issues with new (7.0+) google maps. When I want to search location app stuck imediately after keyboard appears. I also noticed that this issue is not present when I switch from qwerty keyboard to phone keybad. So it seems like some issue with Xperia keyboard.

My solution for now is to use old version of google maps without updates.
