Hi,
When I swipe my Sony Xperia Z3 to make a phone call google is listening to me. I have to stop it and swipe in again. Anyone speaking near me and it picks it up and starts doing a search based on what they've said. I've gone into settings, voice, and turned off google detection but it still does it. It's doing my 'ed in. Can anyone help please?
Hi 10TG,
Here are the instructions to turn it off.
Menu > Google app > Menu button > Settings > Voice > OK Google Detection
In here you can turn of various functions.
Hi, Yes, I had already turned off OK Google. When I did that and power-cycled the machine it now says "tap the mike" - I still have to come out of it and log on again. Absolute nuisance.
Well I must say this is up there as the most unhelpful support forum. 47 views and two people asked me to do something that I'd said I'd done in my question. At least they tried to help I suppose, even if they didn't read the question.
The answer was uninstall google and return to factory settings. I can now swipe through the security and get to my handset, without having to do it twice because google was listening for an instruction after every first attempt.
