Gmail sync and notification error z3 compact lollipop upgrade

No Gmail sync after lollipop upgrade, no notification sound. Horrible. Could anyone help me please?

Have you checked Settings then Sound and notification to check it's turned on for sound etc and as for Gmail, do you have sync enabled and in Gmail app settings you can check to make sure that for that app you have Sounds enabled for notifications

Try an app preference reset - Settings then Apps then tap the option key in the top corners then Reset app preferences then reboot and test checking the settings again once rebooted

Settings OK, still no notification. In KK 444 worked excellently! What should I do?

What about uprgade to Lollipop 5.1? Do you prepare it? Factory reset? Coz there is NO sync on Gmail!!!! I have to sync Gmail manually!

There is sync with Gmail and mine works fine so you either have not done something or haven't enabled a settings or you have a 3rd party app causing a conflict - Your last option if the App preferences reset doesn't work is to perform a system repair

Performing a system repair using PC Companion will often fix issues - This will factory reset your phone and erase all data so best to backup before you begin

Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)
Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the on screen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process

If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP

Then you are using a 64bit system or Win8/8.1 and have the M/S driver signing issue, You could try compatibility mode or you will need to use a Win7 32bit type system
