Ghost call

For no reason , from time to time, my Xperia Z3 starts ringing and keeps doing that until I restart the phone .

Though there is no incoming phone call, no alarm set, nothing. It`s just ringing. I can use the touch screen and hard buttons, but I can`t stop that Sony ring tone to sing .

I bought the phone exactly 1 month ago, simfree, from Amazon .

Any help ? Anyone having the same problem ?

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

I suggest that you go to Settings > Personalization > Manage notifications > the tab "All" > In the top of this list, you may find "Disabled". If you have things that are disabled here, enable them and restart the phone to see if the same behaviour appear.

I`ve just double checked what you suggested . No, all those things under the "All" tab are already ticked . I presume this means they are active .

Any other ideas for me ? Thanks.

How often does the phone ring? Perhaps you could boot the phone into safe mode to see if same thing occurs:

Happened 3 times within 1 month .

Unfortunately I`ll not be able to keep my phone in safe mode for days or weeks to see if this problem comes back or not. I still have apps to use on a regular basis .

But probably a technical team from Sony has some "tools" to look into any bug problem, isn`t it ? I think this would be a professional approach to this issue . Submitting a log file to a technical team to be analysed ...
