Function requests

Hi,

how can I make a function request to the developers. I think think, that this ideas would improve the using comfort immesly.

I think that following tweaks would be very usefull:

1. Possibility to use the side volume key to change songs on the player, just like old Walkman phones did. Personally, I loved this funtion on my W810i and W995. Its why I liked Sony Ericsson phones the most.

2. Since I am a quad-lingual person, I use everytime a different keyboard layout and I am annoyed when I start typing on English and the autocorrect starts correcting in German. It would be a big help for me to just show, an abbreviation of the current language in a cornen of the display or keyboard (like Windows does, htc devices do it also sometimes).

3. Static background pictures, which do not scroll together with the home screen.

What do you think about it?

I would find this improvements very very usefull. (Except 3. is not helpful but only nice to have)

On two:

I think both Nr.2 options combined would be an optimum. It would definetly beat every SMS-app and Keyboard-app on the market.

P.S. I'm looking forward to ICS.

I would like to be able to assign a contact to a group(s) easily, and then be able to quickly select a group to view.

(For some reason, this once easy and very useful facility on pre-smartphones now seems to be impossible or at best difficult)

I would like the phone to unlock automatically when switched on when I am at home (i.e. without entering a PIN / face recognition in ICS)

I think this could be achieved by having a setting for each Wifi network "Auto Unlock On/Off".

i.e. If I am connected to my "Home Wifi", then do not ask me for a PIN to unblock

Then, when switching on the phone:-

    IF (connected to WiFi) AND (WiFi is "Auto Unlock") THEN

          No Pin code needed to switch on

    ELSE

          Ask for Pin Code/pattern/face recognition as per normal

I think this thread is generally ignored, because it is a question that is marked as answered.

If Sony are interested in requests/ideas for features from users, then I think this forum could be a valuable source.

At the very least, this thread should be made more prominent - marked as a discussion rather than a question that is answered and marked sticky so it can be seen easily by forum users.

If Sony are not interested, then please say so, and I will save my time, as I have a few other ideas.
