Front facing video camera

I'm curious to know whether the resolution for the front facing video camera can be improved as it appears low quality compared to the rear camera. I assume not as they are two different cameras? But maybe there's an app that can help improve front video camera resolution for example? Thanks.

no way to improve resolution with software. The resolution is determined by the hardware. so you cant change it.

The front camera is only 1.3MP compared to the main camera which is 8MP so thats why theres a big difference in quality.

On the main camera you can go lower than 8MP but not higher. Likewise, you wont be able to go above 1.3MP on the front camera, im not sure if you can go lower because my front camera doesnt even work since I get 'unknown error' when I switch to it.
