Good day
I have a Sony Xperia Z3 Dual D6633 recently updated from Lollipop (23.4.A.1.264) to Marshmallow 6.0.1 (23.5.A.0.570)
-Before the update:
.SD Card was detected and working (All data available, going to Storage in settings shows the SD Card to be present)
.Front facing camera working (switch button in camera app available, ability to switch in Snapchat and Skype)
-After the update:
.SD card not detected (When used in another device such as PC and other Androids, it is functional. Also, Storage option in Settings does not show the SD Card, only shows the Internal Memory)
.Front facing camera not detected (no switch button in camera app, Snapchat and Skype doesn't change to front camera, Diagnostic test from settings doesn't detect the camera)
Please advise
Thanks!
please someone what can i do to get my apps back from my sd card
If you moved the apps to the SD card and then unmounted the SD card, you will have to re-download them to restore them, there's no other way around, this is not a Sony issue but how Android handles apps to SD card.
After updating to Android 6.0, you might experience that some third-party apps can't find the SD card. In Android 5.1, the path to the SD card was /storage/sdcard1. In Android 6.0, however, the path has been changed to /storage/xxxxxxxx, where xxxxxxxx is the serial number of the SD card. Third-party app developers should always use APIs provided by Google to access the external storage.
@Rickard
what about the problem with the Front Facing Camera?
From Lollipop (23.4.A.1.264) to Marshmallow 6.0.1 (23.5.A.0.575)
-Before the update:
.Front facing camera working (switch button in camera app available, ability to switch in Snapchat and Skype)
-After the update:
.Front facing camera not detected (no switch button in camera app, Snapchat and Skype doesn't change to front camera, Diagnostic test from settings doesn't detect the camera)
Please advise
Thanks!
Perform software repair using Xperia Companion
if not fixed
send your device to your local service center Local support
Hi @TheMahdawi,
I am sorry to hear that.
I can see that you have tried most troubleshooting steps aside from safe mode, could you try that?
Aside from safe mode I'd suggest that you try performing a software repair using Xperia Companion since the front camera behaviour is the same throughout multiple apps as well as Diagnostics.
