Front camera issue

Hi,

When I take shots with my front camera, the finished picture is all blurry. Totally different from what I can see on the screen when I take the shot. Eg. Selfies. ( hehe). I just wondering if it's a software problem, like an automatic "improvement" or is the camera just that bad? I would much rather have a picture with more grain and no improvement.

iPhone have a much, MUCH better front-facing camera. But grown **bleep** men also want them good looking selfies.

Could you elaborate on the issue?

Yep,

If I use the front camera in the regular app, or some other app for that matter, it looks all good before I take the shot, a bit grainy if the light is low, but still alright. But when I shoot, it looks like the phone just automatically do a kind of noise reduction or just an auto improvement of the picture. Yes, the grain is gone, and the picture is brighter, but color is pretty bad. Looks like the picture is a painting instead. A bad painting.

Is this software or hardware related? I can't find any setting.

It's called soft skin effect and it's set to on by default.
To turn off open camera, select front cam then open settings and turn off.
