From Galaxy S5 to Sony z3 Compact...

I recently decided to downgrade from the S5. After using Samsung phones since the S3 I finally decided to try something new, at the same time I looked for a smaller phone (assuming it would be a downgrade). To my delight I'm absolutely thrilled with the Z3C! The only thing that doesn't compare is detail from the camera, but in terms of performance (both speed and battery life), ergonomics and functionality, its the best phone I've ever used. Keeping in mind that was running vanilla Lollipop on the S5 too, and it was lightening fast. I'm still on KK4.4.4 with the Z3C and almost haven't been tempted to hack it...there's no need!

Thanks Sony Slightly_smiling_Face I'm impressed.

Hello,

I also have Z3C and subscribe that it's a great phone

My previous phone was Xperia SP Slightly_smiling_Face

As i was dissapointed that SP didn't got kitkat, i haven't gave up to Xperia brand

Keep up the good work Sony and improve to excellence camera pictures quality !

I hope that on Lollipop in superriod mode we will have resolution of at least 12 MPX

Regards

I personally like the decision to use pixel binning instead of the full 20MP. The results I've got are surprising. Here is a low light comparison I made with the S5 of a friend vs my Z3c.

Both with flash turned off and image mode set to auto.collage_20150218082747554_20150218082953453.jpg

And here I was comparing Zoom, still in low light.

That's an awesome comparison! I'm yet to get anything as sharp and detailed as this shot I took a while ago on the s5 > https://flic.kr/p/qiBqRw
But I do think the colours and gamma curve of the z3c is nicer than the s5. Still testing Slightly_smiling_Face

That picture of the fly is awesome. I do think the S5 and recent iPhone do a bit better in daylight. But many of my pics are at night or in low light where this excels.
