Found a Sony Xperia

Ive found what looks like a very new Sony Xperia mobile phone which is password protected. Have I any way of contacting the owner?

You should contact your local police and see if they have got someone.

It's amazing you're trying to return a found phone, returns a bit of faith in humanity.

I guess the owner hadn't entered his data to be displayed on lock screen?

You can also try to take out SIM card and:

a) put it into another phone - if it's not PIN protected, you can call/text a contact "Mom", "ICE" or anything like that and ask to them to let the owner know it's in good hands and will be returned.

b) go to local network provider card is from and ask them to contact the owner
