Greetings to you all, my question is that how do I unlock my Z2 after forgetting my screen lock pattern and connot turn on internet to use my gmail account?
You need to perform a software repair using PC Companion. The process will erase all internal memory. You might need to charge your device for about 1-2 hours before so the device has at least 60% battery.
Make sure the device is not connected to computer or laptop and turned off (sometimes you have to press power button and volume up until the device vibrates 3 times or on some devices you have to press the small button near the SIM tray or on the back of the device).
Open PC companion->support zone->phone/tablet software update->repair my phone/tablet blue highlighted.Follow the steps given,do not connect your phone until prompted to press volume down while plugging USB cable. If PC companion does not start the repair process, you might need to run it in compatibility mode with Windows 7 (in some cases XP).
YOu are an expert but it sounded very complicated. Glad to have you on this FORUM to help everyone. May I ask a question?? How do you modify the CONTACT LISTING ??
What contact listing? In contacts app? It is not difficult at all to repair software.
To factory reset to phone you have to either
1. Use PCC or Bridge
Bridge (for Mac)

or
2. MyXperia
or
3. Android Device Manager
www.google.com/android/devicemanager
with 2 and 3, your phone has to be
*On
*Data or WiFI on
*your Gmail should be present
*GPS has to be on
I thought to factory reset the phone you need to shut it down and press power botton when sony logo shows press volume down key or when its turned off press power + volume down keys in same time...
Oh well I must be out dated because from what I remember that was the most known way to reset phone. You can try it tho bro. Maybe it's still in use.
The button combination doesn't work now,you need to repair software or factory reset using myxperia or google device manager.
