For all those complaining about the camera including me

Very interesting article and raises an already well reported issue on compression and file size which I have commented on several times

I do understand that Sony has tried to compromise for the masses when it comes to file size and compression but it needs to change or offer 2x modes of operation - quality or peformance mode - I think that is the answer and is not new to digital cameras

The other issue I have found is colour saturation - I would prefer the camera to take natural shots rather than exagerated colour - perhaps again this is the option to include in quality mode

So give us 2x modes of camera option - quality and natural colours or compression and over processed saturated images, probably not that difficult to do, 2x set of drivers configurable by a menu selection

When it comes to the camera of the XZ you guys really should check out this review.

They explain everything about the phones image performance and it´s not all good.

When i´ve read it i became very supprised and dissapointed at the same time, sure the low light photos ain´t that great. But i rekommend you to read the review so you can give your thoughts.

What I would like Sony to do is :

1. Add optio to choose what compression for photos I want -

a) large compression
b) small compression
c) none compression

2. Add option to add date and time on a picture / movie - even older sony ericsson phones could do this why Xperia Z can't?

yes indeed, they should focus on camera in capture better details, better color reproduction rather than comprise it into small size ( else why we need Memory card??), and rather than boots the image with BE2 which only appear better(?) on Z screen itself, when sharing to pc,tv or social web it looks different.

somemore we all know that iphone 5 use sony sensor but capture better image than Sony phone, that's quite a shame actually. Now the flagship(?) of Sony XZ still not capture a better image than I5, really sad.

I actually ok with all things in XZ except the camera (which it shouldn't work this bad).

Pray hard, hopefully camera can capture better quality and less compression (e.g. 5-6mb image).
