Its all about the camera settings, also how are you snapping the pictures virtual camera button or the physical camera button? which camera settings? under which light conditions? upload the pictures on box.com > post the links here as we can't see the pictures

I think I understand your issue, the image on the phone looks quite good because of the X-Reality Engine, but once you transfer the pictures you will notice that the picture its not as great, keep in mind that the front facing camera its only 2mp. 

As for the rear camera, could you elaborate on the settings? I recommend that you use the physical camera button, half press the camera button  to focus then press it all the way to snap the picture, you can use HDR on, you could change the metering and white balance
