I can confirm that since yesterday's xperia s update to release 6.1.A.2.45 the issue has been fixed. I can now relaunch the radio without phone reboot (fm radio track id works too).

Although I am very pleased with my Xperia in general, I am have exactly the same problems when I try to use the radio function.

Considering that Sony has the BIG walkman legacy AND made some excellent short wave receivers years ago, just WHY is a simple FM radio so problematic ?

The camera focussing is appalling too,:smileyangry: a software update ( if possible is needed ) you just couldn’t hand the phone over to friends to take a picture, they would LAUGH. All this from the people that gave us the CyberShot !

:smileyplain:Back on track, Sony ANYONE is there a fix for this very poor FM radio Sony have dumped us with ??

Build Number 6.1.A.0.453

Hey,

Did anyone manage to fix the problem after so many months?

Support, please update us on the status of the issue.

THank you!

If you're having issues with the radio on the phone, try using a differnet pair of headphones to plug in, as the atenna is not in the phone itself but is instead in the wire for the headphones you're wearing.
