Flickering Screen after 4.3 update!!!

anyone encountered a flickering display when opening small apps and when using the keyboard? any fix on this bug?

this is frequently happens in browsers when typing using the on screen keyboards..

Tried to restore to factory reset, no good.
Tried 3 different firmwares, but still no good.
Mine is sgp311 16g wifi only..

Please fix this ASAP sony..

I received my Tablet week 1 1/2 ago.

Great Tablet!

I noticed yesterday a mild screen flicker with the tablet.

I turned off the tablet and then back on again. Appeared to have stopped for about 3 or 4 mins. then returned.

Any suggestions or possible reasons for this?

Do I need to return for another?

Check that you're running on the latest version of the phone software. You can use PC Companion or update service to do this.

If you're on the latest software I suggest that you contact your local support team to have this checked at a repair center.

Hi I got the same issue, well kind off, i'm using Google chrome browser and the official Sony pre installed keyboard. When I'm typing like right know the screen flickers quite alot and only the keyboard and about 1 center meter above the keyboard section flickers. I know this is a software issue as it don't flicker if I'm using the same keyboard to take notes or other apps, even though I need to test other browsers.. I'm on 4.3 Indian firmware I own a UK model sgp321 tablet, also I have NOT rooted or messed around with the boot loader Sony I hope you can provide a fix ASAP?? Thanks

Started happening to me after the 4.3 update, when bringing up the keyboard.  Doesn't happen on any other software version or custom roms at all.

Exactly,  after upgrade xperia keyboard to newer version it started to blinking. It **bleep**...

Me too. Tablet had been solid gold for months, but now the screen flickers only on using Chrome. If I do a slow scroll up, say for 6 full screens, then a band of flicker appears. Also when I type in Chrome, so to book something online...lots of screen flicker. Like its not fully refreshing.
All this happened upon upgrading to 4.3

Keyboard flicker - annoying indeed! However I reckon it relates to Autocomplete or Search Suggestions function - there must be some kind of a script initiated when it happens.

 

If you turn it off, flicker disappears. At least it worked for me [in Firefox] okay.

we'll it seems that screen flickering occurs mostly when using a chrome browser and an xperia keyboard but it also happens on some small apps like small video player. i also noticed it when using the clean master widget.. it means its really a bug..

it is not consistent, it happens occassionally that's why not everybody is noticing it for now...hoping for an update to solve this bug..

here is my isolation:

as i have said, it happens occasionally and when its flickers its annoying..
this is a valid complain and i isolated it already..

firstly - after 4.3 update, noticed it after few our of writing posts using chrome and the xperia keyboard plus when playing videos using small video player.. stock firmware not US

secondly - thinking restoring to factory settings will solve this bug, i restored it but with no luck and with same result..

lastly - flash the ftf US generic version using flashtool thinking that my previos firmware might be corrupted..but again with no luck..after few hours of typing, here comes the flickering bug again..
