Fastboot issue Windows 8

I have rooted my xperia s and i want to install a custom rom but my phone refuses to go into fastboot. When i plug in the cable and hold the Voulume + button, the light goes blue for a split second then it just goes into charging mode. On my device management the device shows up as a removable device and thats it. I've tried to update the drivers with the fastboot drivers and windows 8 stops the installation with "Windows has dectected that the drivers are up to date"

I've seen many people with this issue. Anyone got a fix?

Sorry this is taking longer than it should. I can get it to go to fastboot for about 5 seconds now then the phone reboots. When i connect the phone it says Other Devices> S1 Boot Download With the flag to say it needs drivers. When i specify where the drivers are it simply tells me it can't install and to check the manufacturer if the drivers are compatible. If i then go to "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer" it comes up with things like Andriod device and "Sony fastboot interface" which i thought would be where i would install the driver too but that didn't work either. If i scroll down the list there is Sony So0103 ect. I'm not sure what im doing wrong.

I followed this http://mobilecon.info/fastboot-driver-and-rooting-sony-xperia-s.html

I didn't work but on device manager my phone is coming up as "Andriod bootload interface"

I'm assuming this is progress?

Has anyone come up with a solution for this? I have an Xperia Arc lt15i and Windows 8 x64. My phone's light is blue, but Device Manager reports it as S1Boot Fastboot and I can't get any drivers installed.

Follow This Steps:

1) Go to Settings

2)PC Settings

3) Go To General

4) Go to the Very Bottom "Advance Startup"

5) Click Restart PC

6) When the PC Restarts you will see advance Options click in the Keyboard option the "Disable Driver. . . ."

7) After the PC Boots Install the Fastboot driver

😎 Try again booting your device into Fastboot

See if your Phone shows up to your Windows 8
