fastboot difficulties

When i do the following task to unlock the boot loader the phone shows the blue light for a few seconds then phone simply goes into charge mode

can someone help?

On your phone, push and hold the unlock button* at the same time as you connect the phone to the computer with a USB-cable. The unlock button may differ between different phone models. See the note in the bottom of this page for more information on what button use on your phone.

Turn your phone off - Then press and hold the volume up button on the side then connect the usb cable

Holding the volume down button and connecting the usb cable enters flashmode with the green LED light

This is what i have been doing but it makes the beep sound then after 3/4 seconds the blue light goes of and the phone switches onto battery charging mode

i tried and i tired and tried for 5 hrs . i cat get the phone into fastboot mode . also my phone was just upted to the new version of the 2.3.7 by the sony PC Companion , Is the fast boot ode in sony diff from the normal fast boot mode for other android phones > what are the steps .  and how the phones behaves when going in fast bot mode .

please advice .

I could install the driver on a computer running XP, but I had issues with installing the fastboot driver in Windows 7 64-bit version. I found this tread on XDA and it helped.

my phone is not in working condition its just restart at once and then restart again and again and again.... and so on so here  u post a link from where we download pdna software .... the problem is that when i am goin to instal it .... it ask to on the usb debuging option that i can on when my phone is on so what else i can do for instaling fastboot???
