My Xperia S stay active all day, after searching everywhere to find a solution I think that Fast Dormancy is the cause of the issue.
Even if freezing com.sonyericsson.android.wakeup it still eat my battery.
Are you sure it is handled the correct way, I've seen on XDA that even if carrier has FD enabled it can cause battery drain if not correctly implemented in the device (exemple : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2018894)
I'm on Free carrier in france I think their network handle FD but I'm not sure.
Hi, I'm facing the same, but connected on wifi almost all the time, is this affecting the battery even on wifi ?
Dear support,
Is this wakeup issue addressed to developpers? I'm facing it on .45 version on SXS, the phone is awake almost 50% of the stbytime wasting a lot of battery. Is there any fix regarding this in .50 or .55 versions?
Thnx
It will be mainly the screen and 3g eating your battery rather than the phone being awake.
As i showed here when the handset is being just used as a phone it lasts a reasonable amount of time
How can you state that ? You don't know what I did and how I use my phone !
I use GSM only when at home and plane mode at night, no sync, no wifi when I don't need it, screen brightness at minimum almost all time. I disabled all thing that are useless, I use better battery Stats to find what suck battery.
I have an Xperia T also, the setting are exactly the same and my battery last longer in the T compared to the S. It's a well known issue on the S I think. I want my device to enter real sleep mode instaed of being active 24/7...
