Hi, i take it your charging your phone from the mains....are you using the original USB Cable......have a look at the link below to see if this can help any :smileysmileywink:
Charging the phone from 0 to 100% using the default charger (EP880) takes about 3h but if you are using the phone while it's charging or have apps running in the background it will take longer as the phone will be using power at the same time.
What happens if you turn it off and charge it while it's off?
I really dont think it takes 30 minutes to charge from for example 10% to 60% in 30 minutes........longer than that, i've never really timed my phone from 10% to 100% but i would say approx 2.5 hrs........
Have a look at this thread.......might give you a good perspective of times involved :smileysmileywink:
The EP880 is not a fast charger - It is a standard stock charger - If charging takes longer than usual then consider that you may have a faulty cable, Mains plug or battery, You may need to either return your device to the place of purchase or contact Xperia care and have your device inspected if the cable and mains plug is fine http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/
I think you have read an article about Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0, not about the Xperia Z2. EP880 is not a Quick Charge 2.0 charger (we currently don't have any Quick Charge 2.0 chargers on the market). Also, only the Japanese variant of Xperia Z2 supports Quick Charge 2.0.
