Facebook Video Playback

I cant watch a whole video on Facebook on my Z2, for some reason it throws out an error. 

Plus within 10min of using the phone it gets really hot. 

I havent tested out the waterproof factor yet as i think i have a dud phone.. 

Any help on the video issue would be great..

No.. Updating the Facebook app doesn't solve the problem.
It's the same as when you clear the data, restart Facebook, login, and play an embedded video.
At first you think that it worked, but sadly the problem returns, and you're unable to watch videos to the end.
I see people discuss if it's a fault in the Facebook app, or if it's a fault in the Xperia Z2.
My money is on that the fault is in the Z2, because the Facebook app works perfect on my old HTC Sensation XE, with a fully updated Facebook app.
I know clearing the data and logging in solves it for about 15 minutes on the Z2, but I don't want to settle for that. I want my new phone to be working as a new phone should be working.

The only thing to do is as mentioned above, force stop, delete all data, log back in, then it works again for the briefest of periods

Hi, what I have noticed is that if I am on a relatively fast wifi network (10mb) it seems to work better and timeout less frequently. It looks like streaming and buffering is causing issues. When I am on 3g or slower wifi, it happens all the time.

I know you've had a lot of posts regarding the fact that videos keep crashing from the Facebook app.

Have you come up with a resolution?

Same happens to me and I've left feedback on playstore for Facebook. Works fine on the Web,just the app.Updated the app 3 times hoping for a fix but no luck!

I have the same problem.. It works fine on other phones like Samsung and iPhone, but it's not on the Z2.. I hope they will solve the problem as it is very annoying!!!

Pathetic sony. Do you actually solve problems with £550 phones or aren't you bothered?
