Facebook push notifications not working

Had the phone 3 weeks now, I've tried everything but can't seem to get any push notifications for facebook to work, all settings are ok but still no notifications.... anybody got any ideas before i send it back and go samsung

Hi it's not the phone it's Facebook that the problem I had htc one and Facebook witho blinkfeed didn't work delete app and reinstall add also go to settings app and Facebook and clear app data and cache

how do i delete the app?  as far as i can tell its a system app and no way to delete?

You can't delete/uninstall the app, you can disable the app or 

Settings > apps > facebook > uninstall updates > then try again, or if you don't want facebook disable all the facebook apps
