Facebook Problem - again!!

Good morning all

I recently upgraded my Facebook app to the 2.1 version, so I am happy to say I can now upload You Tube clips (even though I never got to use the "Check In" section of FB), buy hey ho.

My new gripe is that since upgrading, I now can't edit my profile, or add friends.....when I go to add a friend, I get the following error message:

"Cannot fetch the user data at this time.  Please try again later. [Unexpected end of json input]".  Oh, and it doesn't let me "try again later", as I just get the same message.

Can someone PLEASE tell me what is wrong with this phone??!!!  Thought it was meant to be simple?? xx  I understand that I can of course do this all on the PC, but I don't have one, hence the whol point of getting an Android phone so I could have the internet at my fingertips

Hi, just be aware that there are limitation for Facebook app compared with the PC version.

First thing to check is to make sure that you are connected through Wi-Fi or Mobile Data Network. If it isn't the connection problem, try the followings ....

-     Reboot phone and try again.

-     Try log out and in again.

-     Clear Facebook cache & data, goto Settings>Applications>Manage applications>MENU (left hard button)>Filter>All, scroll down and tap Facebook, tap Clear data and Clear cache.

-     Re-install Facebook app.

Do the above one by one, just in case one works (at least you know which one is giving you the problem).

Hi,

You know if I clear the Facebook cache and data, will that erase anything that I have on my facebook?  Sorry if i'm sounding a bit dumb, just not sure what I am doing and don't wanna lose any pics or anything else off my facebook.  Just thought I would check before clicking on "Clear"!

It won't erase anything from your Facebook account, clearing Facebook data will only remove app's data from your phone (a confirmation box with details will popped up once you tap Clear data).
