Why is it when someone changes their profile pic on Facebook messenger I always have to clear the data in settings in order to see their latest profile picture?

Not sure I have experienced the same but will keep an eye on this. However, you are aware that it could be an app problem, right?

I have the same also, it's most probably a problem connected to the app. What I did is tapping on the triple-dots icon on the top right corner of the conversation and used "Report a problem" option. This feedback should be forwarded to Facebook, unless you have tested it on another Android phone and found it's working.

I never thought to try testing on another phone, will remember to do this the next time.

The best advice I can give would be to contact the app developers, they will be better placed to advise.

I confirm I noticed the same problem.

LE: not sure though, it seems the app has shown the correct picture after all.
