facebook error uploading photo

I bought the xperia pro 4 days ago, and I love the qwerty keyboard!

Unfortunately it won't recognize my SIMcard, but maybe that's because it's kinda old (3 yrs). So I will get a new sim. But now I can't get facebook to upload my photo's. After I have tried to upload a photo,  it fails and I can't even reload my newsfeed. Same problem with twitter.

After I restart my Pro, facebook works fine again, but as soon as I try to add a picture it fails. Browser works fine, and there's nothing wrong with the internetconnection (I use WIFI). I'm starting to think that maybe there's something wrong with this particular mobile. Or is this a common problem? Or Android problem?

Any ideas? I can bring it back to the store (within 7 days), which I will if I don't get it to work.

you can repair/update your phone and see if that solves the issue

But this phone is brand new, I would think that it already has the latest software?

not at all, go to settings -> about phone -> which android version and build number do you currently have?

it's android 2.3

I'll have a go with the update service, see if the problems get solved.
and I've heard that 4.0 will be available in a few weeks!!

you can also go to settings -> applications -> manage applications -> facebook -> clear everything and uninstall updates then try again

and yes the Xperia Pro is supposed to get ICS soon before months end (May)
