Hi ,complete newbie here ,apologies if  this has been asked before ,I did search .

I have a WD 500GB hard-drive  that I've loads of movies for the kids.It doesn't have a power source and my brand new Tablet doesn't seem to pick it up but it does pick up my 2 small 1GB sticks ...I'm guessing there's a power issue from Tablet to Hard-drive.

Is there any way to get the tablet to see it ?? Its set to  FAT32 ,if I switch to NTSF will all my data be lost ?

If not ,is there any other HD's that will definetely work ?

Thanks for that ...guess its not the file system then .

Am I reading that correctly ..any HD will work as long as I have the Sony able and Sony adaptor

Yes,you have them both?Both cable and adapter from Sony?I have seen that the file system in FAT32 on your hard drive.

The fun bit now is finding somewhere in Dublin that will have these items ..I think all the Sony stores no longer exist here ....and the likes of Harvey Normans don't fill me with confidence ,they tend to only stick with off brand rubbish

I am sorry,I can imagine that your kids are really having fun watching movies on your tablet.But keep us updated.

PS:You could check ebay for those,maybe you can find something useful.
