Whenever I sms my friends, I'm having terrible trouble typing because the keyboard is either lagging, or is just poor in sensitivity. Is this a common problem? I've noticed some touchscreen sensitivity problem where I have difficulty pulling down the notification bar, but that was somehow fixed after I cleaned my screen.
But the keyboard is just a pain in the ass. Whenever I type fast, it somehow lags, and lags a lot that I can't even type a proper word. And when I press backspace, it backspaces a lot sometimes as well.
The problem actually happens on and off. I suspect that it's because I have background running apps but I always kill all of my applications every now and then.
I should mention that I've not upgraded my software because I saw a lot of discussion having problems with it.
test your touchscreen w/ service menu

Hi wooly, thanks for the very quick and helpful reply.
I've tested my screen. It seems fine. It's fine actually. As in, I have no problem with any of the buttons, or any parts of the screen. But just that during an SMS where I'm typing, I get this lag and it causes me to not be able to type properly.
then the problem is that you have a lot of sms/mms stored on your phone

Hi wooly. Sorry to bother once again.
I just tried SMSing properly again, and realised that it is in fact not because of the number of messages stored in my phone. I am still experincing irritating lags when typing. For example, I was typing "really", but the became rWally or something like that.
Like I've mentioned, it's sort of on and off. Sometimes it's alright but sometimes it's not. Wondering if anyone is experincing the same thing.
Experiencing the same thing here...
I also tried phone repair in update menu, got fine and started again..
I believe it's due to android 4.0.4. the lag occurs only when using the keyboard..
Have you been able to come up with something rhexis?
