Hi all, two years ago I bought new Sony Xperia Z1 - C6903.
After updating the android to version 5.1.1 (I did not notice which version of lolipop was before) taken pictures are:
- overexposed - brigthness is too big - more the light is available in scenery more affected are the pictures
- basicly I'm unable to take photos with any source of light in picture
- due to above the pictures are blurred.
All of this happened suddenly, just after the update to new version of android.
PS. my warranty just ended which very suspicious coincidence circumstance
Install Sony Companion , repair your phone software they said ...
I did this but pictures are still overexposed.
Just re-installed android on my phone.
build version :
14.6.A.1.236
Step 1:
- before above I have replaced back of the phone (the one with back "camera window") and cleaned the camera lens (without back it was doing same quality pictures as it's now)
Step 2:
- re-installed the android from 5.1.1 to 5.1.1 (sorry I mean ... I have repaired software
)
Step 3:
- Samsung ?
Sony has worst ever support in Poland :
- Sony updated my phone to android 5.1.1
- after the update main camera stopped to work correctly (as described above)
- then Sony told me to make:
a) cleanup of files - did not help
b) basically factory reset with Sony Companion (Repair Software if I recall correctly) - did not help either
- In next step Sony told me to sent them phone to repair but my warranty expired 2-3 weeks ago so they will charge me for the repair
There is no possibility of downgrading Android OS , which restore correct functionality of main camera.
Based on this ... Sony want to charge me for the mess which they done in first place.
Very nice business strategy Sony ...
