juat bought a new experia e1 and having major probs, can anyone tell me if there is a torch facility and how to take selfies?

There is no inbuilt torch app you have to install one from the play store - your 2nd question open the camera app and look for a camera icon with a have circle arrow - Tap on that to switch between back and front camers hence the half circle denoting switching

Indeed,but E1 does not have front camera according to GSM arena.
