Error while android 4 updation

I am using Xperia neo v my current adnroid version is 4.0.2.A.62, I want to upgrade to 4.1.B.0.587. While updating preparation is completed and showing a window to remove phone,swtich off and again connect. I done as per the instruction but it`s not working..kindly help me to update

turn off your phone > press and hold the volume down button > connect the USB cable > do NOT release the volume down button
