Error check internet connection while trying to update Xperia Sola? Im connected to the internet...get a message calculating...but then after clicking update says check internet connection....seriously thts crazy

This is happening wile using Pc companion?

If so please try the update service:

http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/tools/update-service/

(sometimes this is caused by the Java app in your PC..)
