Email sync does not work

I just got my new Z1, and everything is good but the email sync.

I have set up two POP accounts (yes, I know I should use IMAP...) with sync set to "on". and schedule set till 10min on both accounts. Neverthelss, it does not work/sync. 

Settings:

Dashboard/Settings/Email - autosync is enabled for both accounts, but last sync time indicates that it does not autosync, even though I have set "account check frequency" to 10min.

Dashboard/Email/Sync options/Inbox check frequency - Off-peak time setting is set to 10min. Peak time setting is disabled/unchecked. I have tried to specify peak time setting aswell, but it did not change anything.

Phone has been updated with all the latest FW and program updates.

Any ideas?

Another restart of the phone obviously did the trick! Krossing finger that this is no longer a problem

I got exactly the same problem

Sync. asked for each 5 minutes, without any success

Why ?

Have you tried to restart your Z1

If restarting the phone doesn't help, check if Stamina is enabled under Settings -> Power management. If Stamina is enabled you need to tap it and select Add applications -> Email.

Of course I restart my Z1 without success

and Stamania is off

Strange but true, an email address @outlook.fr is running without problem

and an email adresse @gmail.com does not sync !!

If using Gmail, make sure that POP and IMAP are enabled in your account on www.gmail.com -> Settings.

But for Gmail i would recommend that you use the app called "Gmail" instead of "Email".

Hey, I was having just the same issue and it was so annoying.

I went to Settings -> Email, and some account's sync icons were grey. I just tapped that account and checked the empty checkbox to "Sync email". Then all the icons on the previous screen were green and now it works according to the set refresh intervals.
