email notification innacurate

Had my xperia p a few weeks now and having set up my talktalk email on the phone I have noticed that on occasion when the phone vibrates to alert me of new email upon waking the handset the notification states I have say 23 emails but when I click into my accounts I have say 3 or 4 in each account . This error seems to happen quite often any ideas appreciated:-/

what if you use another email app like k9 or maildroid?

Dont know I havent tried them I have a gmail acvount set up and two talktalk accounts in the sony email app, happens most  it gives me the incorrect total, not a real major problem but not sure why thought it was adding them all up but nothing in my gmail so it seems to relate to tne sony app

it might be a bug, just try the other apps
