Email inbox showing messages but none there?

Just updated my Xperia SP yesterday -- but I notice that I have no current or new emails showing in my INBOX.

I have THIS MONTH and OLDER EMAILS showing but nothing current. This is incredibyly annoying as that is all I use my phone for, checking new incoming emails.

Anyone any ideas what this nonsense is all about...? Ways round it....?

Noticed this on another posting:

"I would advise clearing the actual email application before setting it up again:  Main Menu > Settings > Apps > All > Email > Clear Data."

But if I go to Settings / Apps / -- I do not see an ALL or EMAIL......................

You have to swipe right to get to all section.

Thanks. But swiping right whilst in the INBOX section simply deletes existing old emails.

There is no TODAY section in the INBOX.

No,you got it wrong.To clear email app,you need to go to phone settings-apps-all and do it there.

None of that worked.

Hoping this helps others with the same problem -- this solved it.

Delete your mail account. Turn off the phone. Turn it back on. Enter your email details again -- and everything is back to how it was before this totally unnecessary update.
