Email app on Xperia S running 4.1.2

I seem to having problems loading some emails on the email app. I am using a Hotmail email address. Some emails give a 'connection error' at the top in the yellow bar.

While other email apps have had no problems...I've wanted to use the Sony Email app since updating to Jelly Bean.

This problem has been happening since running GIngerbread 2.3.7 on the Xperia S.

Has anyone had any problems like this with an hotmail email address?

Thats strange, my e mail account is an hotmail and i didnt faced any trouble with that, have you been trying with other sources of internet?

I have this problem as well but its only with some emails. I can view an email but the next email try to view i cant view at all i get the yellow bar. I have had this problem before the update though.

I have recently moved house and the same is happening with the email app. through wi-fi.

I actually had this problem when my Xperia S was on Gingerbread as mentioned before. Sony have the Update Center app for new updates on apps and new apps. I have only had to use this once to update the timescape app. I wish Sony would provide us with updates for apps to fix bugs or introduce new features.
