Earphones problem (different than other messages)

When I plug in my earphones (coloud earphones), phone gives the "the accessory's microphone and buttons are not available " error in a pop-up.

The interesting thing is I was using the same earphones like 4-5 months in android version jelly bean. It suddenly started to give this error.

When I try the Sony earphones which given with phone, It works properly.

I searched everywhere and tried everything but I couldn't take a result.

By the way I tried iphone earphones too and it gived the same error.

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

It sounds like you have a headset which is made for iPhone. They are not fully compatible and may give this message.

Hi, could this be the reason? Have a look at the following link, http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/FAQ/Problem-using-headset-accessory-not-supported/m-p/347872#U347872

I suspect the issue here is the type of microphone used on the headset. Some iPhone headsets and 3:rd party headsets uses a MEMS microphone with requires 2,7V while many of our products like Xperia P supplies 2V as we use an electret microphone on our headsets. This makes some headsets incompatible even though they have the correct standard on the plug.
What happens when you connect an incompatible headset may also differ depending on what software version the phone has.

thanks for the replies,

but as I said, I used this earphones for 4-5 months without any problem. One day it suddenly started to give this error message. I think that it is not a problem caused by earphones. Because that earphones were working properly before 2 weeks.

Tap longer on the message(or double tap) and select to ignore or something like that(cannot remember for sure).

Unfortunetly it's like a pop-up message and there is no way to tap longer or double tap. It accepts just one tap to close pop-up.

Yeap that's right. The error message doesn't appear in the notification panel, it pop up in the middle of the screen.
