ear piece stopped working?

So 2 days ago my ear piece has stopped working entirely and the only way i can hear people is through speaker, i have no had my phone come in contact with water what so ever. Is it a hardware problem or software cause i talked to customer support they said something about PC companion and i see no usefulness what so ever with pc companion. Does anyone have any ideas?

i know im spamming but i think this should be heard. apperntly my phone thought it was in head phone mode and all i had to do was twist a pair of head phones in the socket... be aware
