OK, anyone go any ideas why if i go to "my movies" on my Xperia E, i get multiple entries in the list for each movie.

At the moment i get about 80 icons for each one.

Please backup the media data from your SD Card (just as a precaution) then try this: Main Menu > Settings > Apps > All > My Movies > Clear data.

What are your thoughts about this forum? Let us know by doing this short survey.

that brought the number of icons per movie down to 3, but that soon went up to 5 and i suspect it will soon increase further.

Actually i changed from portrait to landscape and its now down to 1

weird.

luckilly i'm back off holiday now so i don't need to watch movie on my phone for a while.

i had it plugged in to my PC to charge it and all my movies vanished while the SD card was offline.

when i unplugged it, they came back, duplicated 3 times again.

plugged it in to PC again and unplugged and I'm back up to 9 icons per movie file.

plugged it in again , waited for a couple of hours to charge to 100%

unplugged, checked. now most movies have 20 + icons

Actually i've discoverd that this seems to be a problem with music files as well.

Thus when i play an album on my SD card, if i play it track order each track appears 3 or 4 times.
