My ics 4.0.4 was a real disapointment for me and I would like to downgrade to the old 2.3.7 again as it ran fluent and didn't fuck up the music all the time.
the problem is I have no idea of how to do it
can anyone tell me how to do it?
thanks
I would like to downgrade too because my phone is branded to t-mobile UK and once the S is updated to ICS the PS store doesnt work anymore. Sony is aware but this can take months to sort out and in the mean time because I have a t-mobile or orange version I can't use the PS store at all. So yea please I would also like a way to downgrade the phone, (without rooting as t-mobile won't let me do that either), Please sort this out Sony.
there are 2 ways to downgrade
1) take it to a sony repair center
or
2) manually downgrade

Just to add to this Sony do not and will not downgrade you - According to Sony support when contacted they stated clearly that they will not downgrade a phone
are you certain? because Sony moderators say otherwise.

I will put my houses on it
Had to find the transcript of the conversation between member Tony and Sony support

Now unless things have changed recently then I have seen no mention of it on Xperia blog nor have I seen anything in here as proof they will downgrade you - I am only going off what Sony support said - However I do find it strange that they say you can't downgrade this phone only older phones but we all know that you can using Flashtools
I actually work for t-mobile, I could send the phone to the repair centre and it would come back on 2.3.7 because the handsets are still sold on that version. Only thing is is that it would take like two weeks before I could get it back. Until then I'd have to use my garbage iPhone 4. So yea you guys could hand it in for repair at your network's shop but you'll be waiting like two to four weeks but it would be back on 2.3.7 unless your network is already selling on ICS. I know t-mobile and orange still sell on 2.3.7.
