Doesn't start, only restarts

My phone doesn't start. It only shows the Sony logo, then the Xperia logo, then the swirly loading design, then the Sony logo again, and it repeats like this. I searched if anyone else had this problem and people say that their phone keeps restarting, yet they are able to use their phone for some time before it restarts.

I installed a theme from Playstore when this happened, but I don't think that was the cause for this. i removed my SIM and memory card, but the problem persists so they don't seem to be the cause either.

What can I do? Please help! =(

I would suggest that you try to boot your phone into safe mode to see if the problem may be related to any 3rd party app that you have installed in your phone:

Press and hold the volume down button during the start up to boot the phone in safe mode, see more information on the following link:

If issue persists, try to repair the phone software using Sony Update Service:

Hi, thank you! It worked for a while after the Sony Update Service, but after shutting it down and switching it on again after some hours, the problem continued. I don't know what I should do to get a permanent fix, but for now I will do the Update Service again... I don't understand what the problem is.

Do you use it with the SIM inside now?

Do you have a sim pin? If so remove with another phone and try again...

It worked the third time I updated. The second time I updated, it worked until I installed the theme again (it's the one with the colourful clouds). So after updating for the third time, I didn't install the theme again and it works normally again. Personally I think it's the theme's fault. Btw, it's an official theme from Sony Select, nothing suspicious.

hi i had the same problem take you sim card out then it will load then put sim card back in
