I posted this earlier today and for some reason it has since disappeared, so I'll have another go at posting it.
My Xperia S is dodgy when charging - the bottom 1cm of the screen doesn't perform a solid touch... for example, if you go onto a homescreen and enable touch-feedback in the dev options, you'll be able to touch the screen, keep the finger on that and drag it around (side to side etc)... it's what I'll call a solid-drag or swipe. The touch dots reflect this, they are solid, don't flicker and the homescreen behaves as normal.
If you then (while charging) move your finger nearer the bottom, the solid moving dot begins to flicker, and your touch stops being solid and begins to be read as very fast taps.
I first noticed this on my first Xperia S (which then developed screen issues and died). This is my replacement Xperia S now, and I have the same behaviour, and it's become a real problem now as I can't use the swipe-typing in SwiftKey anymore because it thinks I'm tapping all over the screen.
If you unplug the charger then it works perfectly normal again. I've tested this using my laptop to charge and my power adapter - 2 different cables too.
Does anybody else have this issue? Is it on all the Xperia S phones? I've had two so far and it does it on both!! I'm paranoid now, because when my first Xperia died it seemed to be from an electrical issue, the screen could pick up my charge when touching the bottom of the phone (below the strip/aerial) - the screen would go haywire. Slightly paranoid this is another indicator that my phone will suffer from another electrical fault.
try to have your phone checked at a local service center. http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/
