I follow these steps regularly..
I always keep my brightness to level 0 whenever i need i increase it by 40%
I always keep my GPS,WiFi,DataConn. & Background Sync. is in off - when ever I need enable them
Most of the time I use the GSM only as prefered network mode... when ever I connect mobile Data Conn. I switch to WCDMA(prefered)/GSM mode.
once I finish browsing I revert it to GSM mode.
frequently check my running services & stop them which I unwanted settings-->applications-->running services
So do I need to install Battery saver (ex juice defender)?
I installed macafee security... it seems to be use more battery when i check "battery use" menu
is there any way to reduce it... or does this app really need?
The app is "Battery Status"
screen ON time is 35 min.
Wt's the gray & green area in that phone signal graph pic.
As u say my phone constantly looking for signal status.... But it's fine upto day b4 yesterday...
great suggestions
if the problem persists after all that, just repair it with PCC and/or Update Service
like i said earlier it can be the roaming issue
please try while not in roaming..
Guys.... I updated my Ray to latest build (62).....
wt's the new feature upgraded in this build compared to old one (42)?
Actually I thought of to test it in airplane mode tonight.. but in my office
coverage is good (when i check -67 dbm but in my home it's -87dbm) ...
I put charge to 100% after that I didn't even touch the phone for nearly 1.5 hrs ...
Then I check...believe it or not... it down to 88% when I check the battery use menu
again the standby leads the graph...... Then I change it to airplane mode..... after 1 hr it down to
80%... so finally come to conclusion ther's some other sucking battery...so I decide to do
update service.. since i didn't do it early.. I didn't take chance... so i give it to SE update service center....
when I ask the technician there, he told that it's due to virus downloaded from market apps or jpeg from PC...
I really shocked .. bcoz Uliwooly told that there's no need of antivirus....
In the lastest buld pack they once again install the macafee antivirus... they said that.. it's comes
along with that build pack....
Now my phone is fresh ... I didn't download my previous apps from market library yet... without app... I'm going to test tonight how much it sucks..
Is there anyway to download my apps in market library from phone itself ... instead of from PC?
As I told, last friday I download updates from market for
Maps
hide it pro
and installed new one Myphone Explorer client..
I think something went wrong after this....
one more thing why maps running at background all the time.... even when i stop it from running service...but now when i check the running service after doing update service..Maps not running...
Is it run continiously once i start for the first time?
But now I really scared to download apps from market and connect my phone to PC...
Is it virus really matters?
go to settings -> location & security and uncheck both options see if that helps, I just want to narrow down the problem, so intriguing
U mean use wireless networks & use GPS satellites
if I do, maps will works or not?
Guys Last night I check... I think it's back to normal...
charge down from 65% to 58% ..
so the culprit may be the hide it pro am i correct?
if so suggest any app to hide media files...
hey, just now i check Maps is running for the first time since my update... even though I uncheck those
2 options from location & security menu and stop maps from running service.. it's again starting... is it a pblm .. is it normal..
that is normal. the map app among other apps will be running in the background, why? because there are other apps connected to this, in particular if you install apps that require other permissions like location and what not, they will trigger this app. also are you using a taskiller? I hope not, like I said above, get rid of taskillers, antivirus, and juice/battery defender
i am using Xperia Go. before upgrading to ICS, the Froyo had this battery saver option, but now as i upgraded to ICS the setting is now gone.. how i wish they retained it because i am having problem of battery. before i sleep it is still around 25-30% charged but as i wait for the alarm in the morning it did not sounded because battery was 0% already. i did not had the change to take a screen shot of that setting coz i thought ICS would have it too..
