Display screen broken

Hello,

I bought my Sony Xperia C2305 3 years back from a reputed store in India. Except for minimal SIM card problems, my phone has worked exceptionally well and is still working very fine for my usage and I am happy with it. Just 3-4 months back, my phone slipped out of my hand and fell on a stone and the display screen broke and there are 3 large sratches on it. I bought a screen replacement for it from Ebay for Rs.500/- ($7.6). I checked with a local repair store here, and my phone was referred to the Sony sevice center. The service center returned back my phone and the screen with a message that there is some internal damage, and hence replacing the screen may not work. They also told me that they are not responsible for any problems that may arise after the screen is changed. The scratches are really disturbing while reading from the phone. People here say that the only option for me is to buy some other phone. I bought this for Rs.23000/- ($343), and I still love it. With my usage profile, I can use it for my entire life if the screen is replaced without any risks.

Could anyone please advise if there is a possibility to change the screen and if yes, how much it would cost.

Thanks in advance,

A sincere Xperia lover.

You have two options, either repair the phone through your Local support or DIY, it will be cheaper, you can buy the LCD on ebay and replace it yourself.
